Nicole Streeb

My name is Nicole Streeb. Technically it is Nicolé (pronounced NicolAY) but everyone butchers this, so I go by simple Nicole.

I am senior at the University of South Carolina-Aiken in Aiken, SC with a double-major in psychology and business management.  I am also a Research Apprentice in the Hegdé laboratory, supported by the Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program (URAP) of the U.S. Army.  In addition, I am a Laboratory Assistant in Dr. Ed Callen’s laboratory in the Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina-Aiken.

I am especially interested in post-traumatic stress disorder, specifically in soldiers. I plan on continuing my education in graduate school and then obtain my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology. My main ambition is to create an effective program to treat soldiers with PTSD without the use of prescription medication.
